More than just a second chance to see it all, though, this epilogue section of the game actually features certain objectives and items that you’re not able to reach until you’ve acquired your final ability and finished the main story. More importantly, this part of the game lets you revisit any older area in the game in order to complete any optional objectives that you may have missed along the way. It’s basically the story’s epilogue, and it’s worth exploring simply to hear all of the new dialog options and see how your actions have made the world a (mostly) better place. That’s why it makes sense that so many Psychonauts fans are already concerned that Psychonauts 2 may feature a similar point of no return structure that essentially forces them to complete as much of the game as possible before they reach that mysterious moment in the sequel’s story. Just as the name suggests, it was basically the point in the story when you were essentially forced to play through the game’s climactic moments and could no longer return to the main camp area. In the back on the left, you’ll find a machine connected to a water tank. Just go to Otto’s lab in the Quarry, which you can’t miss. This is the trickiest part, as Psychonauts 2 doesn’t have a big, flashing sign telling you where to get brains. To help Ford in the mailroom, you’ll need to get a brain in Nick’s body. There’s a Ford in the mailroom, one in the bowling alley, and another in the barbershop. First off, you’ll have to keep in mind where all three Fords are. There are a few things to keep in mind that’ll speed up this process, though. The gist is that you have to go into two mind worlds and complete those, plus go into three separate smaller Ford levels, plus a last one. But the game doesn’t necessarily hold your hand when it comes to how you’re meant to do this. In Psychonauts 2, you’ll have to literally put Ford Cruller’s mind back together.
